# About 00DB

**00DB is a Kubernetes-native app that uses SQL scripts to generate secure proxy databases.** These proxy databases are subsetted images of your production data, created within a protected sandbox environment.

With 00DB, your team can automate SQL script testing, validate results, and safeguard production data. Each proxy database is spun up on-demand, limited to an appropriate number of secure records per day, and automatically dropped after 15 minutes of inactivity. This ensures rapid testing while minimizing risk and exposure to bad actors.
